Hiring: Sales and Training Associate

The Sales and Training Associate in Yardstick plays a key role in driving customer engagement, managing showroom and inbound inquiries, supporting client onboarding, and providing product training. This role combines front-line sales with client education to ensure both revenue growth and excellent customer experience.Department: SalesWork Location: San JuanResponsibilities:

1. Inbound Sales & Inquiry Management

  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and showroom inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Guide prospective customers through product options, ensuring recommendations are tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain a welcoming, informative, and brand-aligned environment in the showroom.

2. Customer Engagement & Sales Conversion

  • Build strong relationships with walk-in clients and inbound leads.
  • Proactively follow up to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Resolve customer concerns efficiently, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Understand customer needs and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet revenue targets and conversion goals.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and seamless customer experiences.
  • Provide input to improve internal processes and client support systems.

3. Product Knowledge & Presentation

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the product range, including key features, benefits, and use cases.
  • Conduct engaging and informative product presentations and demos.
  • Stay informed on product updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings.

4. Client Training & Onboarding

  • Lead training sessions on product use and equipment operation for new and existing clients.
  • Ensure clients understand best practices in brewing, cleaning, and equipment care.
  • Customize training content based on client type (e.g., cafés, hotels, or restaurants).

5. Sales Reporting & Feedback

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all client interactions, sales activities, and training sessions.
  • Submit timely reports on lead status, customer feedback, and training outcomes.
  • Share insights to help enhance product offerings and customer experience.

6. Showroom Support

  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked showroom at all times.
  • Prepare equipment and materials for demos, training, and client visits.
  • Support showroom-based events, tastings, or other client-facing activities.

Job Specification/s:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, showroom, retail, or hospitality roles.
  • Strong communication, customer engagement, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to handle inquiries, manage leads, and drive sales conversion.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and sales reporting.
  • Skilled in product presentations, demonstrations, and customer training.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in coffee equipment, brewing, café operations, or food & beverage industry is an advantage.
